About the 1.8T Container Mast Forklift (Lithium)
The 1.8T Container Mast Forklift (Lithium) is the right machine when your job involves working inside — or directly off the back of — standard 20ft and 40ft shipping containers. The defining feature of this class is the low collapsed mast height, which allows the forklift to pass through standard container doors and manoeuvre within the confined length of a steel box where a conventional mast simply cannot fit. With a rated capacity of 1,800 kg and a maximum lift height of 4.8 m, this machine handles the full weight of a standard pallet load while still offering useful stacking height in low-clearance warehouses, rail sheds, and transit facilities.
Powered by a lithium-ion battery, this forklift delivers consistent torque and lift performance across the full shift without the voltage drop associated with conventional lead-acid packs. Lithium technology also enables opportunity charging — the battery can be topped up during breaks without affecting cycle life — which keeps the machine available throughout extended operating days. Zero tailpipe emissions make it suitable for enclosed facilities including cold stores, food manufacturing, and pharmaceutical warehouses where internal combustion engines are not permitted.
Key Features
- Low collapsed mast height — purpose-built to clear the door aperture of standard ISO shipping containers (typically 2,261 mm internal height), enabling direct container stripping and stuffing without ramps or platforms.
- Lithium-ion power — supports opportunity charging, eliminates battery change-outs, and maintains consistent hydraulic and drive performance from full charge to end of shift.
- 1,800 kg rated capacity at 500 mm load centre — handles standard palletised freight, bagged goods, and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) comfortably within the weight envelope common to intermodal logistics and warehousing.
- Compact overall width (1,252 mm) — a narrow footprint allows the machine to work in the tight cross-aisle widths typical of import/export warehouses, container parks, and bonded stores.
