About the 2.5T Rough Terrain Forklift (4WD)
The 2.5T Rough Terrain Forklift (4WD) is the right machine when site conditions rule out a standard counterbalance — gravel access roads, compacted earth, grass surfaces, muddy construction sites, and uneven hardstand all fall within its working range. Powered by a Kubota Stage V diesel engine and driven through all four wheels, it maintains traction and control where two-wheel drive machines lose grip and conventional warehouse forklifts simply cannot operate. With a 2,500kg rated capacity, it handles the full weight range of palletised building materials, landscaping supplies, packaged goods, and event infrastructure on the kinds of sites where rough terrain access is a daily operational reality rather than an exception. Pneumatic tyres front and rear absorb the surface variation inherent to outdoor worksites, and the elevated ground clearance under the mast keeps the undercarriage clear of obstacles that would ground a standard machine.
The four-wheel drive configuration makes a practical difference to both productivity and safety on sloped or loose sites. Travel speeds of 24 km/h laden and 26 km/h unladen are meaningful on larger sites — rural properties, civil works depots, or temporary event grounds — where the forklift covers real distance between pick and place cycles. The simplex mast provides a standard lift height of 3,000mm with factory options extending to 6,500mm for sites where stacking height or container loading is required, and the wide-view triplex option is available where operator sightlines at height are a priority. A tight turning radius relative to its class keeps the machine manoeuvrable on sites where space is at a premium, and the Kubota engine's Stage V compliance meets current emissions requirements for use on regulated worksites.
Key Features
- Full 4WD drivetrain — power to all four wheels delivers the traction and gradeability needed on slopes, loose surfaces, and mixed terrain conditions common to construction, civil works, and rural sites
- Kubota Stage V diesel engine — the 47.3 kW Kubota V2607 meets current emissions standards and provides reliable, field-serviceable power with the fuel economy and durability expected in outdoor hire applications
- Pneumatic tyres rated for rough terrain — large-section front tyres (12-16.5-14PR) and robust rear tyres (10.0/75-15.3-14PR) absorb surface variation and maintain ground pressure stability on uneven, gravel, or soft surfaces
- Mast height range 3,000–6,500 mm — the standard simplex mast covers ground-level loading and standard stack heights; extended mast options suit container loading and higher-bay stacking where site conditions require it
