About the 3.5T Container Mast Forklift (Lithium)
The 3.5T Container Mast Forklift (Lithium) is the right machine when your job requires working directly inside — or loading and unloading directly from — standard 20ft and 40ft ISO shipping containers at higher payload weights. The defining characteristic of this class is the low collapsed mast height, which allows the forklift to pass through standard container door apertures and manoeuvre within the confined internal length of a steel box where a conventional upright mast cannot operate. Rated at 3,500 kg at a 500 mm load centre and capable of lifting to 4.8 m, this machine handles heavier palletised goods, drums, bagged bulk materials, and industrial components well beyond what a 1.8T or 2.5T container mast machine can safely manage.
Powered by an 80 V lithium-ion battery pack, this forklift maintains consistent drive torque and hydraulic lift performance across the full working shift without the gradual voltage drop that leads-acid batteries exhibit late in a cycle. Lithium chemistry supports opportunity charging during breaks without degrading battery cycle life, which reduces downtime on sites running extended or multi-shift operations. Zero tailpipe emissions make the machine compliant for use inside enclosed facilities — including cold stores, food manufacturing plants, and pharmaceutical warehouses — where internal combustion engines are not permitted by site or regulatory requirements.
Key Features
- Low collapsed mast for container access — the mast profile is engineered to clear the door aperture of standard ISO shipping containers, enabling the machine to strip and stuff containers directly without ramps, dock levellers, or separate manual handling equipment inside the box.
- 3,500 kg rated capacity — handles heavy palletised freight, industrial components, and bulk bagged goods that exceed the safe working load of lighter-class container mast machines, making it practical for import/export operations, manufacturing, and heavy distribution.
- 80 V lithium-ion power with opportunity charging — consistent performance from first lift to end of shift, with no battery water topping, no equalisation charges, and the ability to top up during meal breaks without affecting long-term battery health.
- Super elastic tyres as standard (pneumatic optional) — the standard super elastic tyre gives good load stability and a smooth ride on concrete and compacted surfaces, while the pneumatic option is available for sites with rougher or uneven yard surfaces.
