About the 3.5T Rough Terrain Forklift (4WD)
The 3.5T 4WD Rough Terrain Forklift is built for outdoor worksites where standard warehouse forklifts cannot operate. Powered by a Kubota diesel engine and fitted with heavy-duty pneumatic tyres, it moves structural materials, precast concrete, and bulk building supplies across surfaces that would stop a conventional machine — compacted gravel, grass, mud, and uneven construction ground. With a 3,500 kg rated capacity and lift heights available up to 6.5 m (standard simplex mast from 3,000 mm), it covers the majority of heavy outdoor lifting tasks found on civil, residential, and commercial construction sites in the Geelong region.
The switchable 4WD system is what separates this machine from the 2WD variant. In soft or wet conditions — common on coastal Geelong sites and rural properties — four-wheel drive maintains traction where a 2WD machine would dig in or lose momentum on grades. With a maximum gradeability of 54% and a minimum ground clearance of 270 mm beneath the mast, this forklift handles the steeper site grades and rougher pad conditions found on civil earthworks, farm developments, and remote infrastructure projects. It is the right choice when terrain is genuinely unpredictable or when loads need to move uphill.
